The PAIP distillation process is developed using the extensive experience of our team in the olive pomace oil process supported by advanced simulation software (HTRI, SOLIDWORKS, CFD), in order to obtain an efficient separation of hexane and pomace oil of olive.
Extraction takes place in vertical extractors, mainly by the percolation method, where the solvent passes through the interior of the pellets dissolving the oil and transporting it outside due to the difference in concentration. Thus, a mixture of hexane and oil is formed.
The mixture of olive-pomace oil and hexane is initially sent to a miscella tank and subsequently pumped through an economizer, two distillers and a stripping column to obtain an excellent quality oil. All hexane evaporated during the process is sent to three high performance condensers that are in charge of condensing all the separated hexane.
