The gas treatment plant produced by PAIP has a filtration capacity of up to 120,000 Am3/H. The gaseous emissions from the biomass dryer are conducted, first, to a Gas Pre-washer and then to a Wet Electrostatic Filter (or wet electrostatic precipitator).
The Gas Pre-washer decreases the temperature of the gases and removes the larger or soluble particles, allowing greater efficiency of the equipment over time.
Subsequently, the gases are taken to a Wet Electrostatic Filter, industrial equipment recognized worldwide as the main technology to control emissions with sub-micron particles, preventing the nanoparticles of ash and combustion fumes, responsible for the negative visual impact of this process, from being sent into the atmosphere.
They are highly efficient equipment that work by generating an electrostatic field in the path of particles suspended in the air flow.
